Tourette Syndrome
Tourette Syndrome is part of a group of disorders called Tic Disorders. Tics are rapid, sudden and recurrent vocalizations or motor movements that can wax and wane in frequency. They can be exacerbated by excitement, anxiety, and tiredness. Children with Tourette Syndrome can also have other accompanying concerns such learning difficulties, ADHD, and social and behaviour concerns. At our Clinic, we can engage in treatment for the tics as well provide strategies and suggestions for the accompanying concerns.
