Medical issues

It can be very difficult for children of all ages to deal with medical issues. These issues can have a significant impact on a child's day-to-day functioning (e.g., in the case of diabetes management). Sometimes children have fears around their medical issues (e.g., fear of having an allergic reaction or an asthma attack, fear of a medical procedure), while at other times, they may be sad and angry about the changes that have happened in their lives. We help children process their feelings, and, where possible, learn better ways to cope with their medical condition.
