ADHD

There are different presentations of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, or ADHD. Some children have difficulties primarily with attention and focus. Others have difficulties with a high activity level and impulsive behaviour. Many children who are diagnosed with ADHD have a combined presentation. In addition, there can be other challenges for individuals with ADHD, including the following: organization and planning, making good decisions, initiating tasks and completing tasks, sustaining effort in task completion, and social skills.

Children and adolescents with ADHD are at risk for school difficulties, depression, substance abuse, and accidental injury. At our Clinic, we can help children and adolescents with ADHD build the skills they will need in order to be successful in all areas of life, and we can help parents support their child and address any family functioning difficulties.
